Opening Banquet, Keynote & Reception

We'll kick off the conference with an elegant dinner and keynote session. We are honored to welcome Dr. Pandurang M. Kulkarni, Vice President of Biometrics and Advanced Analytics at Eli Lilly and Company, as our keynote speaker this year.
In addition to being a VP at one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, Pandu has also been elected Chair of the Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts of the American Statistical Association. Pandu has been a champion for programmers and data scientists across industries and will share with us his unique perspective on "Creating the Future Generation of Statistical Computing Professionals".
Afterwards, you'll have an opportunity to mingle with your fellow attendees, enjoy additional food and drinks, and get a special sneak preview of this year's Innovation and Networking Area, which will be open from 8pm-10pm.
Lunch and Learn: Good Recipe for a Successful Programmer

During our Monday networking lunch, you'll have the option to participate in a special presentation and discussion on the role of statistical programmers in the pharmaceutical industry, facilitated by Bala Dhungana
Bala Dhungana, MS, MBA is a Director of Statistical Analysis Capabilities Statistics- Oncology at Eli Lilly and Company. Bala has served in both technical and management roles related to statistical programming in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. He is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and presides over multiple community service organizations in Indiana. He will share his ideas about what makes a successful statistical programmer.
Dinner Cruise on the Spirit of Chicago

Join us Monday evening for a lavish networking event aboard the Spirit of Chicago. We'll enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner with wine, beer, juice, and soda included. There will be a DJ and dance floor, but also quieter areas for networking with your fellow SAS users. The interior of the boat is climate-controlled for your comfort, or step up to the observation deck for stunning views of the Chicago skyline at night!
This event is included in your conference registration. Don't miss out - it will be the highlight of your time in Chicago!
Logistical details: Complimentary transportation between the hotel and the dock at Navy Pier will be provided. Buses to Navy Pier will run from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Buses will load on Stetson St. outside of the Hyatt West Tower by registration. We will begin boarding the ship at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm departure from the dock. After returning to the dock at 10:00pm, the buses will bring us back to the Hyatt.
