Open Source – An ‘Open’ Conversation about Analytics
Sunday, September 29, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Crystal Ballroom C
Join us Sunday afternoon for a special event – a conversation about open source. The adoption and use of open source technologies to support business needs are rising. Global companies are heavily investing in talent and resources to integrate with open source technologies with high hopes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. It is a big effort to combine the freedom of open source and the balance of “chaos with control” to bring order to a complex ecosystem of analytics practices. Come and join the conversation about open source technologies, hear what your peers are doing with open source and how they plan to bring order from chaos in the world of data and analytics. Limited seating is available; please come early. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Hosted by Teradata. This event is open to all registered MWSUG attendees.

SAS Customer Appreciation Mixer
Monday, September 30, 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Crystal Ballroom A
Join us for a networking mixer hosted by our good friends at SAS. Enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages before you head out for an evening on the town.
MWSUG 2019 Koala Quest
This year, MWSUG once again has the pleasure of hosting several travelers from Australia as representatives of Metacoda. However, these travelers have only been allotted a one-way ticket to the United States and are, therefore, looking to be adopted! These adorable yet mischievous guests enjoy all aspects of SAS conferences and can be found throughout the event.
Help us find a loving home for these lovable Koalas. But first we need to track down these crazy critters. They do like to explore and sometimes find themselves in the oddest of places. So please be on the lookout for them. If you find one, locate a Koala Keeper so that the koala can be ‘tagged’ as having been found and adopted. As an added bonus to adopting one of these darling creatures, you will be entered into a drawing for a special prize!
Closing Session
Tuesday, October 1, 4:00pm-5:00pm
Wrap up the conference and say farewell to all your old and new friends at our Closing Session. We'll announce the Best Paper winners, introduce next year's conference co-chairs, and get a sneak peak at MWSUG 2020. As always, there will be door prizes!
